  • PM Modi Government Put Covid “Jinn” In A Bottle: Yogi Adityanath

“A 2,100 quintal bell will be installed in the Ram mandir. It is a belief that whenever the bells made in Jalesar ring inside temples, whatever is inauspicious vanishes,” UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said.

Etah: Taking potshots at previous governments in the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that those who are inauspicious for development of the state will automatically vanish once the bell made in Jalesar starts ringing inside the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He also said PM Narendra Modi led government at the Centre successfully put the COVID-19 jinn in a bottle.
The Chief Minister was addressing a public rally in Jalesar.

“A 2,100 quintal bell will be installed in the Ram mandir. It is a belief that whenever the bells made in Jalesar ring inside temples, whatever is inauspicious vanishes,” said the Chief Minister.

Highlighting the role of Etah in India’s freedom movement, Mr Adityanath said it was ironic that the district which played such a huge role in the country’s Independence struggle could not get proper healthcare facilities and medical colleges for more than 70 years.

“But now I can proudly say that a medical college named after freedom fighter Avantibai Lodhi has come up in the district,” added the Chief Minister.

He highlighted that the district played a big role in freedom movement of the country.

Mr Adityanath said that before 2017, power-sponsored mafias and criminals used to dominate the district.

“Be it Congress, SP or BSP, they had no sympathy for the poor, farmers, medium and small enterprises (MSMEs). They did not do anything for them, did not waive farmers’ debts, did not build toilets, houses for the poor and healthcare facilities were not provided either. Their sympathy was only with mafias and criminals. Have you not seen the government’s bulldozer run over such mafias and criminals after 2017 and their wealth being seized?” added Mr Adityanath.

Highlighting the success of the state in tackling the COVID-19 pandemic, he said that through great management, the state has put the ‘Jinn’ of COVID-19 inside a bottle in such a way that thousands are gathered at the spot for the rally and the virus is nowhere to be found”.

“In the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, free tests, treatments, vaccines were given. Double dose of ration was given to the poor as well,” he added.

He also said that water will be provided to farmers for free during the next five years and work in that direction has started. “We will provide sweet water instead of saline water. Under Jal Jeevan Mission, pure drinking water will be given to all to keep people healthy,” he added.

Highlighting the government’s efforts in Etah district, Mr Adityanath said that debt of 64,000 farmers was waived off in the district while 2.87 lakh farmers had received benefits of the PM-KISAN scheme.

“In Etah, 11,500 physically challenged people, 23,700 widows and over 40,000 senior citizens are getting pensions of ₹ 12,000 yearly, and 43.5 lakh houses have been given to poor in the state and over 22000 poor in the district have been given houses,” he added.

Polling was conducted in Uttar Pradesh on February 10 for the first phase of the Assembly elections. The next phase polling will take place on February 14, followed by February 20, 23, 27, March 3 and 7, for the other five phases. The counting of votes will be done on March 10.

“The country is being led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the principle of ‘sabka sath, sabka vikas’. There will be no appeasement,” Yogi Adityanath said.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister on Monday said that those who are dreaming about Ghazwa-e-Hind, will not be successful. “The country is being led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the principle of ‘sabka sath, sabka vikas’. There will be no appeasement,” he said.

“For those dreaming of Ghazwa-e-Hind, this is New India under the leadership of PM Modi. New India is for development of all, but appeasement of none. It’ll run as per the Constitution, not Shariat. Ghazwa-e-Hind’ ka sapna qayamat ke din tak sakar nahi hoga (The dream of Ghazwa-e-hind will not be realised till the end),” the UP CM told news agency ANI.

Speaking on the Karnataka hijab row, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the system in the country should be run on the Constitution of India and not Shariat or Islamic law.

  • Hope Pak occupied Kashmir will become part of India by 2024: Kapil Patil

The Minister of State for Panchayati Raj also said that Modi has not become the Prime Minister for bringing down the prices of onions and potatoes and suggested that people complain about the rise in the prices of the kitchen staple like onions but buy pizza and mutton

Union minister Kapil Patil has said that Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) will probably come back to India by 2024 and hailed the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for taking many “bold” decisions for the country.

Speaking at an event in Kalyan city in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Saturday night, the Minister of State for Panchayati Raj also said that Modi has not become the prime minister for bringing down the prices of onions and potatoes and suggested that people complain about the rise in the prices of the kitchen staple like onions but buy pizza and mutton.

Patil, the BJP MP from the Bhiwandi constituency in the Thane district, quickly added that nobody will support inflation and a rise in prices of essential commodities.

“Only Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah can achieve certain things for the country. PM Modi should continue to lead this country as he has taken bold decisions like (bringing) CAA, abrogating sections 370 and 35 A etc. I feel, possibly, Pak Occupied Kashmir (PoK) will come back to India by 2024,” he said while delivering a memorial lecture.

Patil said that people can afford to buy mutton for Rs 700, pizza for Rs 500-600, “but buying onions for Rs 10 and tomatoes for Rs 40 is costly for us”.

“Nobody will support rice in prices. But Narendra Modi has not become the prime minister to bring down the prices of onions and potatoes. If you understand the reason behind the rise in prices of these commodities you will not blame him (Modi),” he said.

  • Omicron generated antibodies effective against all variants of concern in adolescents, adults: ICMR study

NEW DELHI: The latest study conducted by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) shows that antibodies generated by Omicron, a Covid-19 strain, are not only effective against it but also other variants of concern (VOCs) including Delta

“The individuals infected with Omicron have significant immune response which could neutralize not only the Omicron but also the other VOCs including most prevalent Delta variant,” a study by ICMR has revealed.

“This suggests that the immune response induced by the Omicron could effectively neutralize the Delta variant making the re-infection with Delta less likely, thereby displacing the Delta as dominant strain. This emphasizes the need for the Omicron specific vaccine strategy,” it further said.

In this study, the ICMR has analyzed the IgG and neutralising antibodies (NAbs) against B.1, Alpha, Beta, Delta and Omicron variants with the sera of individuals infected with the Omicron variant (B.1.1529 and BA.1) as currently India is facing the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

ICMR has said that within short span of time, the variant has shown high transmissibility and capability of evading the immune response generated against natural infection and vaccination. The immune escape potential of Omicron is a serious concern and further needs to be explored.

The study, where antibodies response was assessed in those who are infected by Omicron, is pre-print not peer reviewed.

It also stated: “In the present study, we have assessed the IgG and neutralizing antibody (NAb) response in breakthrough individuals vaccinated with two doses ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine (n=25), breakthrough individuals vaccinated with two doses of BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine (n=8) and unvaccinated individuals (n=6). All these individuals were infected with Omicron variant.”

The participants in the study were adults from foreign countries and adolescents from India.

  • Dolo breaks sales record; sells over 350 crore pills during COVID-19 pandemic

Dolo 650 has cornered sales of Rs 567 crore since March 2020, selling more than 350 crore pills and 7.5 crore strips of medicine.

Dolo 650 became the most prescribed medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic. The drug has cornered sales of Rs 567 crore since March 2020, selling more than 350 crore pills and 7.5 crore strips of medicine.

Its sales peaked during the second wave as it sold Rs 49 crore worth of tablets in April 2021, the highest monthly sales ever made as per the data from healthcare research firm IQVIA. People on the internet have gone as far as calling it India’s national tablet and favourite snack.

In 2019, the sales of all brands under the paracetamol category were nearly Rs 530 crore. They touched Rs 924 crore by 2021. Dolo is India’s second most sold anti-fever and analgesic tablet, with a turnover of Rs 307 crore (in 2021). Crocin is the sixth-largest, with sales of Rs 23.6 crore.

But what has made Dolo 650 a cult favourite?

Founded by G.C. Surana in 1973, Micro Labs Ltd. manufactures Dolo with 650 milligrams (mg) of paracetamol, while most other brands sell their paracetamol brand with 500 mg salt, which is claimed as more effective.

Crocin or Dolo or Calpol – these are different brand names given by pharma companies that sell the same salt, under their copyright. Dolo’s popularity compared to other paracetamol tablets is unexplained since all paracetamols are alike. Experts say Dolo’s growth, compared to other brands, could be attributed to its more straightforward name.

Another reason is Dolo’s offering of the 650 milligrams (MG) category and the perception that it’s more effective on fever. MicroLabs’s strategy of using the medical term preferred by doctors for fever called Fever of Unknown Origin or FUO in brand promotion also played a key role in increasing its trustworthiness. Moreover, in 2010, Dolo 650 was awarded as the best-managed brand of the year and recognised as India’s most admired brand.

Micro Labs, with 9,200 employees, has an annual turnover of Rs 2,700 crore, including exports that contribute Rs 920 crore.

Paracetamol, a generic salt, which is a common painkiller used to treat aches and reduce high body temperature, has been on the market since the 1960s. Paracetamol tablets are the most consumed medicines for cold and fever, which witnessed a massive surge in sales during COVID-19.

  • Actress Nargis Fakhri Has Found Love in Kashmir-born US Businessman?

Nargis Fakhri rose to fame with Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ starring Ranbir Kapoor.

After the success of her 2011 film ‘Rockstar’, Nargis Fakhri made headlines for her relationship with Uday Chopra.

It seems actress and model Nargis Fakhri has found a new romantic interest. According to a recent report, the 42-year-old American-born, who has worked in Bollywood movies like Rockstar and Madras Cafe, is dating someone new after chef Justin Santos. Hindustan Times reported that Fakhri is currently seeing a businessman based in the United States. The report has mentioned that the actress, who is currently in Los Angeles, is seeing Kashmir-born Tony Beig who also happens to be the MD of a conglomerate.
According to Hindustan Times, Fakhri started dating the 37-year-old businessman towards the end of 2021. Quoting a source close to the couple, Hindustan Times reported that the two met during a social event and instantly hit it off. “They love spending time in each other’s company, and you will often find them going out together,” the source told Hindustan Times. Considering the relationship is still in its nascent stages, the actress wishes to keep the information low-profile. However, the love between the couple seems to be blossoming nonetheless.

It should be noted that Fakhri has not made any confirmation of the reported developments in her romantic life. Fakhri, who made her debut in Hindi cinema with Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar in 2011, had also dated actor Uday Chopra for five years. In an earlier interview, Fakhri had told The Times of India, “Uday and I dated for five years and he was the most beautiful human I met in India.” Fakhri also mentioned that she regrets not officially confirming her relationship with Chopra at the time.
“I never have said this to the press as people told me to keep my relationship quiet, but I regret that because I should have shouted from the mountain tops that I was with such a beautiful soul. The internet and social media is very fake and the people out there won’t know what the truth is. Most often we idolise certain people who are actually bad behind closed doors,” said Fakhri.
