Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir (HCJK) spokesperson has condemned the police action of preventing the participants to attend the seminar organized by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir at their Hyderpora residence. The seminar was organized to pay tributes to martyrs, particularly of 2010.
According to a statement issued to KNS, as soon as HCJK leaders Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Muhammad Yasin Ataai, Bilal Ahmad Shah, Ajaz Ahmad Mir reached the venue, a large contingent of police force stopped them and did not allow the leaders to march ahead to attend the seminar.
Lashing out at the so-called administration for foiling the peaceful seminar, the spokesperson strongly condemned the act and termed the continuous house detention of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani as unjustified. “Due to continuous house arrest since 2010, Geelani Sahib’s health has also deteriorated which is extremely condemnable,” he said.
Paying glowing tributes to martyrs particularly of 2010, the spokesperson said our struggle for freedom is replete with the blood of our martyrs and God willing we will succeed in our mission. “Our struggle for freedom from the forcible occupations of India will reap fruit very soon,” the spokesperson added.
