Medical fraternity to JK Government, ‘will shut health offices and hospitals from Thursday’
As a mark of protest, the doctors and Para-medical members assembled outside different hospitals of Kashmir Valley including Baramulla, Pattan, Kupwara, Anantnag, Srinagar and
wore black bands for the whole day.
The protestors at various district institutions raised voices against the callous attitude of the government in handling this grave issue. “We will firmly stand behind our colleague till justice is not delivered. It seems the ex-minister has been provided hideout by the government itself as otherwise a man living under security cover cannot give an easy slip to state police,” Dr Iqbal told CNS adding that his hunt under the purview of non-bailable warrant has become more difficult than African Safari thus making the judicial institutions instructions mere meaningless.
The protesting medical staff said that Kashmiris have suffered when it comes to delivery of justice as different yardsticks are applied here.
They said that the amalgam is now forced to agitate to drag the attention of national democratic institutions to secure justice for the victim. The warned that if the culprit is not arrested immediately amalgam will expedite the ongoing agitation with closing of health offices and hospitals excluding emergencies from tomorrow.
