SRINAGAR:<\/b> Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Thursday criticised Pakistani government \u201cfor failing to play its role in resolving Kashmir dispute effectively.\u201d
\n<\/i><\/p>\n
In a statement issued here, Andrabi said, \u201cThe people of Pakistan are with us wholeheartedly, but it seems that the establishment as well as all political parties are not as passionate and interested.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
\u201cWe observe January 5 as the day when the people of Jammu and Kashmir were guaranteed the right to determine their future in 1949. But why these resolutions are yet to be implemented. One of the reason is that Pakistan isn\u2019t fulfilling its responsibility as effectively with regard to the Kashmir issue,\u201d she said.<\/i><\/p>\n
She said that Kashmiris are struggling from the past 70 years with an understanding that \u201cKashmir issue is an unfinished agenda of partition\u201d. \u201cSo it is expected of Pakistan that it does more than what it is doing,\u201d she said.<\/i><\/p>\n
DeM chief said that it is ironic that the leaders in Pakistan are busy in \u201cpolitical fist fighting\u201d. \u201cHow unfortunate is that these leaders forget Kashmir dispute after coming into the power,\u201d she said.<\/i><\/p>\n
Flaying the Pakistan for its weak foreign policy and influence in the international forums, Andrabi said: \u201cThe diplomatic efforts and influence of Pakistan is so weak that the UN is banning organisations like Jamat-u-Dawah and Falah-i-Insaniyat foundation. These organisations work tirelessly for the welfare of the humanity and are always ready to help the oppressed people wherever needed. These organisations provide relief to the troubled people in Palestine, Iraq, Myanmar and other places.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
\u201cBut it is unfortunate that under the influence of India and US, UN is putting sanctions on such organisations,\u201d she said.<\/i><\/p>\n
She asked why Pakistan is not able to expose \u201cthe Indian aggression\u201d in UN. \u201cWhy is Pakistan is incapable of persuading the world that the Hindu organisations in India \u2013 RSS, Shiv Sena, Ram Sena , Karmi sena , Bajrangdal ,BJP and others, which are killing Muslims with absolute impunity, are terrorist organisations and get them banned,\u201d she questioned.<\/i><\/p>\n
Andrbai said that to mark the January 5, the day UN passed the Kashmir resolution, the people of Jammu and Kashmir must \u201cpledge that they will continue the struggle against the illegal Indian occupation\u201d until this issue isn\u2019t resolved as per these UN resolutions.<\/i><\/p>\n
She added: The Pakistan government, army as well as all political parties, must stand up collectively and play its role more effectively for the Kashmir cause.<\/i><\/p>\n
\u201cPakistan is becoming pawns under the influence of infidels,\u201d Andrabi said, \u201cthat is the reasons that the Muslims are being massacred and tortured everywhere.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
Taking a dig at the UN, Andrabi said that because of the uselessness and hypocrisy of UN, its resolutions on Kashmir are yet to be implemented.<\/i><\/p>\n
\u201c69 years have passed, but the UN is unable to do anything regarding the implementation of UN resolutions,\u201d she added.<\/i><\/p>\n
She said that this issue came into being with the creation of Pakistan when the Indian sub-continent was divided into two parts. \u201cIndia illegally and forcibly occupied JK by sending its troops, and since then this issue is lingering,\u201d she said, adding the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir have been doing whatever they could to fight their occupation.<\/i><\/p>\n
\u201cAs many as 6.5 lakh people have sacrificed their lives, the women have lost everything, we are being killed, maimed, jailed and the oppression continues. On January 6, 1993, Sopore saw the worst massacre in which one whole locality was burnt down. Dozens of people including small kids were charred to death.
