Srinagar, April 1 :<\/b><\/i><\/span> <\/i><\/span>Seven militants were killed and two army men sustained injuries in an ongoing encounter at Dragad area of Sugan in south Kashmir\u2019s Shopian district on Sunday.<\/i><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Official sources told news agency GNS that seven militants have been killed at Dragad. Two army soldiers were also received injuries in the operation and were shifted to military hospital for treatment.<\/i><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The injured soldiers were identified as NK Shrikant and Sepoy Hariom.<\/i><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

DGP SP Vaid also confirmed the killing of seven militants.<\/i><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cIn Dragad Shopian 7 bodies of militants recovered including top commanders,\u201d DGP tweeted.<\/i><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

DGP in another tweet said that another encounter is going on in Kachdoora and some civilians are trapped and efforts are on to rescue them.<\/i><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Sources, meanwhile, said that four to seven militants are believed to be trapped at Kachdoora.<\/i><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Repports of intense stone pelting clashes were received from Dragad and Kachdoora areas. At least 10 persons are said to have received injuries after police and Para-military forces used tear smoke shells and fired pellet guns to disperse them.<\/i><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The gunfight at both the places broke out late last night after a joint team of army\u2019s 44 RR, 3 RR, 34 RR, SOG and CRPF have cordoned off both the places.<\/i><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
