{"id":13582,"date":"2018-12-16T22:23:57","date_gmt":"2018-12-16T16:53:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/?p=13582"},"modified":"2018-12-16T22:23:57","modified_gmt":"2018-12-16T16:53:57","slug":"ignore-misleading-badami-bagh-chalo-call-army-advises-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=13582","title":{"rendered":"Ignore \u2018misleading\u2019 Badami Bagh chalo call, Army \u2018advises\u2019 people"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><strong>Srinagar:<\/strong><\/i><i> The Army has asked people not to pay heed to the Joint Resistance Leadership\u2019s \u201cmisleading\u201d call for a march to Badami Bagh cantonment to protest civilian killings by forces.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The JRL comprising Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik and Syed Ali Geelani called for the Badami Bagh march after forces killed seven civilians and three militants in Pulwama on Saturday. <\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The Army said it was along with other forces and civil administration fighting \u201cterrorism and proxy war sponsored by Pakistan\u201d in Kashmir.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThe objective of the Security Forces (SFs) is to bring peace and normalcy in the Valley with the support of Awaam,\u201d an army spokesman said in a statement.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Militants killed in gunfights across Kashmir and along the line of control were involved in killing of \u201d innocent Kashmiris including civilians, SPOs, police personnel and other SF personnel on leave,\u201d the spokesman said.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Forces make \u201cevery attempt to avoid any loss of civilian lives in cross-fire and minimise collateral damage to property,\u201d the spokesman said.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cLoss of any civilian life is always painful for the Security Forces. However, the vested interests are continuously at work to instigate and mobilise gullible youths to encounter sites. The call given by JRL for march to Badami Bagh Cantonment is another such attempt,\u201d the spokesman said.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>The Army condemns \u201cthis call by Pak proxies and advises people not to fall prey to such designs of anti-national forces.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cIndian Army is always with the people of Kashmir and would foil all such evil attempts of Terrorist-Separatist-Pakistan nexus to pit the civilian population against the Security Forces,\u201d the spokesman said.<\/i><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar: The Army has asked people not to pay heed to the Joint Resistance Leadership\u2019s \u201cmisleading\u201d call for a march to Badami Bagh cantonment to protest civilian killings by forces.
