The life of 25-year-old MBA graduate, who has an Indonesian wife, was snuffed out and his wife turned a widow. Are Kashmiris born to get killed like this ?\u2019\u2019<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>&#8220;I appeal to the chairman of the Pulwama town commit\u00adtee and other district towns of south Kashmir like Shopian and Kulgam to intervene and meet people and render them a heal\u00ading touch. They should also meet the Army and discuss with them why are people taking up arms in the first place.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Deputy Mayor further said the Government of India (GoI) has set up all kind of military ma\u00adchinery in J&amp;K but \u201cthere is no machine which can return the lives of these people and make them sit at a dialogue table.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThere is no machine or mech\u00adanism in place to attract youth towards peace,\u201d he said.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>He further maintained the Army argues it kills militants because it\u2019s \u201cterrorism and their presence poses a threat to civil\u00adian lives\u201d, but at the same time how does the Army justify killing of \u201cvery civilians they are sup\u00adpose to safeguard.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThis year so many civilians have been killed during the operations carried out by the Army. A probe should be initiated in a time-bound manner and all local rep\u00adresentatives should be part of it. It should not be the probe to hood\u00adwink people,\u201d Sheikh Imran said.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>He said that the killing of civil\u00adians is crime and no force can af\u00adford to \u201cgo berserk against civil\u00adian population.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cWe, as elected representa\u00adtives, besides the development want to understand the aspira\u00adtions of people too.
