{"id":17986,"date":"2019-06-05T09:13:11","date_gmt":"2019-06-05T03:43:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/?p=17986"},"modified":"2019-06-05T09:13:11","modified_gmt":"2019-06-05T03:43:11","slug":"masarat-alam-asiya-andrabi-shabir-shah-sent-to-10-day-nia-custody","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=17986","title":{"rendered":"Masarat Alam, Asiya Andrabi, Shabir Shah sent to 10-day NIA custody"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>New Delhi, Jun 04: A Delhi court Tuesday sent Kashmiri separatists Masarat Alam, Asiya Andrabi and Shabir Shah to 10-day NIA custody in a funding case involving Jama&#8217;at-ud-Da&#8217;wah (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed, a lawyer said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The National Investigation Agency arrested the three during in-chamber proceedings before Special Judge Rakesh Syal and sought 15-day custodial interrogation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Asiya and Shah were already in custody in separate cases while Alam was brought from Jammu and Kashmir on transit remand, advocate MS Khan appearing for the accused told PTI.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>NIA had filed a charge-sheet in 2018 against Hafiz Saeed, Syed Salahuddin and 10 Kashmiri separatists in a case of alleged militancy funding and secessionist activities in the Valley.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It said that offences for which the accused have been charge-sheeted include those punishable under sections 120B of IPC (criminal conspiracy) and various provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>According to NIA, the case was registered on May 30, 2017 and the first arrests made on July 24 last year.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Delhi, Jun 04: A Delhi court Tuesday sent Kashmiri separatists Masarat Alam, Asiya Andrabi and Shabir Shah to 10-day NIA custody in a funding case involving Jama&#8217;at-ud-Da&#8217;wah (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed, a lawyer said.
