{"id":19854,"date":"2019-12-18T16:50:51","date_gmt":"2019-12-18T11:20:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/?p=19854"},"modified":"2019-12-18T16:50:51","modified_gmt":"2019-12-18T11:20:51","slug":"kashmir-economy-suffered-loss-of-rs-17878-cr-in-4-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=19854","title":{"rendered":"Kashmir Economy Suffered Loss Of Rs 17,878 Cr In 4 Months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>SRINAGAR \u2013 The Kashmir econo\u00admy suffered loss to the tune of Rs 17,878 crore in four months of re\u00adstrictions and shutdown in the val\u00adley following abrogation of Article 370 and creation of two union ter\u00adritories out of Jammu and Kashmir, a trade body said on Tuesday.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Releasing a comprehensive sector-wise report on losses due to disturbance after the August 5 announcement by Home Minister Amit Shah, the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) said the losses have been assessed based on Jammu and Kashmir\u2019s gross domestic product of 2017-18.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe study has focused on the 10 districts of Kashmir Valley compris\u00ading 55 per cent of the total popu\u00adlation of Jammu and Kashmir. A time span of 120 days has been as\u00adsumed for the calculations.
