{"id":24576,"date":"2020-04-28T16:45:37","date_gmt":"2020-04-28T11:15:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/woman-from-rainawari-dies-jk-covid-19-toll-reaches-8\/"},"modified":"2020-04-28T16:45:37","modified_gmt":"2020-04-28T11:15:37","slug":"woman-from-rainawari-dies-jk-covid-19-toll-reaches-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=24576","title":{"rendered":"Woman From Rainawari Dies, J&amp;K Covid-19 toll Reaches 8"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Srinagar:<\/strong> Jammu and Kashmir recorded eighth death due to COVID-19 as a septuagenarian woman from Rainawari Srinagar died at a hospital here on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With underlying ailments, the woman had tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Confirming it, Medical Superintendent Chest Disease hospital Dalgate Dr Saleem Tak told GNS that the elderly woman was suffering from various ailments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShe was diabetic, hypertensive and had other comorbidities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the woman\u2019s death, the number of fatalities due to the virus has gone up to 8\u2014seven in Kashmir and one in Jammu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, fifteen more people tested positive of the coronavirus in Kashmir, taking the number of the Covid-19 patients in J&amp;K to 561.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Official sources told GNS that among them, 10 were confirmed at Viral Diagnostic Lab of SKIMS Soura and include five from Baramulla, four from Shopian and one from Kupwara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Five other cases were confirmed at the COVID-19 testing laboratory at Chest Disease hospital Dalgate and include four from Anantnag district and one Pulwama.
