{"id":2460,"date":"2014-05-10T14:17:44","date_gmt":"2014-05-10T14:17:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kashmir-today.net\/?p=2460"},"modified":"2014-05-10T14:17:44","modified_gmt":"2014-05-10T14:17:44","slug":"release-youth-on-mothers-day-ifjhr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=2460","title":{"rendered":"Release youth on Mother\u2019s Day: IFJHR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u2018Tough stance against youth will not bring peace in valley\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Srinagar:<\/strong> In connection with the Mother\u2019s Day, the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights -JK (IFJHR-JK) presses for the release of all youth who were arrested recently allegedly charged with stone pelting and trouble mongering.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman of the forum, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo in a statement has said that all the youth who were arrested during the recently concluded parliamentary elections should be released on humanitarian grounds as their parents are living in misery being at bay from their loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe appeal government to facilitate the early release of all the youth as a goodwill gesture in connection with the Mother\u2019s Day,\u201d Untoo said, adding, \u201cGovernment\u2019s tough stance in dealing with arrested youth will not, in any way, contribute to ensure peace in the valley.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Untoo said though there are not serious cases against these youth except the alleged stone pelting which can be patched up through \u201cother options\u201d as counseling.<\/p>\n<p>The forum also demands justice for the families whose kith and kin have been subjected to enforced disappearance. \u201cWe want government to take up the issue of enforced disappearance and redress the same as early as possible,\u201d IFJHR-JK chairman added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2018Tough stance against youth will not bring peace in valley\u2019 Srinagar: In connection with the Mother\u2019s Day, the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights -JK (IFJHR-JK) presses for the release of all youth who were arrested recently allegedly charged with stone pelting and trouble mongering.
