{"id":25012,"date":"2020-05-08T13:32:23","date_gmt":"2020-05-08T08:02:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/coronavirus-india-is-taking-all-possible-steps-to-save-lives-says-pm-modi\/"},"modified":"2020-05-08T13:32:23","modified_gmt":"2020-05-08T08:02:23","slug":"coronavirus-india-is-taking-all-possible-steps-to-save-lives-says-pm-modi-ind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=25012","title":{"rendered":"Coronavirus | India is taking all possible steps to save lives, says PM Modi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Country is also fulfilling global obligations, notes PM Modi<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/coronavirus-india-is-taking-all-possible-steps-to-save-lives-says-pm-modi\/article31523373.ece\">PTI<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said India was taking all possible steps to save lives during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as responding to calls for help from other countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cToday, India is making every effort to save the life of every Indian and is also fulfilling its global obligations equally seriously,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Modi was delivering the keynote address during a virtual Buddha Purnima celebration organised by the Culture Ministry and the International Buddhist Confederation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the teachings of Buddha were more relevant today as the world went through an upheaval. \u201cThe message and resolve to remove the difficulty of every life have always shown direction to India\u2019s civilization and culture. Lord Buddha has further enriched this culture of India\u2026Buddha is synonymous with service and dedication\u2026And look at the good fortune of all of us, at this time we are seeing many people around us who serve others, treat a patient, feed a poor person, clean a hospital, maintain law and order on a road\u2026 they are all working round the clock. In India, outside India, every such person deserves a salute, a tribute.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Buddha\u2019s teachings were \u201ceven more relevant\u201d today when there was \u201cturmoil in the world\u201d, he noted and and cited those related to mercy, compassion and acceptance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou are also seeing today that India is standing firmly in selflessness, without any distinction, with the person in distress, both in the country and throughout the world.
