Airlines will operate 33% of their flights. But passengers will have to brace themselves for a completely new airport experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Watch Video:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"New rules for flyers in India\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gBjtgAk5Z08?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before entering the airport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Passengers should get to the airport two hours ahead of their flights.&nbsp;<\/li><li>They&nbsp;will have to wear masks at all times.&nbsp;It is mandatory for web check-in before reaching the airport.<\/li><li>They will&nbsp;&#8220;compulsorily&#8221; undergo thermal screening before entering the airport.<\/li><li>Passengers, except children under the age of 14, will have to show officials that they are marked as &#8220;safe&#8221; on the Aarogya Setu app or produce a self-declaration form.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In the airport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Floor markers in the terminal will guide passengers on where to stand.<\/li><li>This is to&nbsp;maintain physical distancing.<\/li><li>Self check-in kiosks will allow passengers to print boarding passes.&nbsp;<\/li><li>For those who prefer traditional check-in, alternate counters, enclosed in glass, will be available.<\/li><li>After airline staff enter passenger details, passes can be collected from a machine.<\/li><li>Only one check-in bag and one cabin bag will be allowed.<\/li><li>After completing security procedures, passengers can sit in marked seats while waiting to board.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Stamping of boarding passes too will be done away with.<\/li><li>Passengers should collect a safety kit which includes a mask and sanitiser near the boarding gate.&nbsp;\u200b<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In the aircraft<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Passengers are advised to minimise the use of toilets and avoid queuing.<\/li><li>Only one person will be allowed to accompany children and elderly to the toilet.<\/li><li>No meal services,&nbsp;newspapers and magazines&nbsp;will be available.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Only water bottles will be made available.&nbsp;Passengers will not be&nbsp;allowed to consume their own eatables either.&nbsp;<\/li><li>On<strong> <\/strong>arrival, Passengers will disembark sequentially and will undergo&nbsp;temperature screening.<\/li><li>Health protocols as prescribed by the destination States\/ UTs would have to be followed by arriving passengers.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ticket pricing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Ministry of Civil Aviation has&nbsp;set a&nbsp;price range for seven categories of flights&nbsp;based on flight time.<\/li><li>The lowest range is flights of less than 40 minutes and the highest is up to 210 minutes.<\/li><li>The price range for the shortest journey is \u20b92,000 &#8211; \u20b96,000.&nbsp;<\/li><li>And for the longest journey is \u20b96,500 &#8211; \u20b918,600.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">International flights&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that&nbsp;commercial international flight operations could start&nbsp;as early as the middle of June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>With inputs from <\/em><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/national\/domestic-air-travel-restarts-in-india\/article31668045.ece\">The Hindu<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A video explaining the rules laid down by the Ministry of Civil Aviation for domestic air travel Domestic flights will start operating in India on May 25.
