{"id":26593,"date":"2020-06-03T08:04:08","date_gmt":"2020-06-03T02:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/iust-to-promote-students-on-internal-assessment-basis\/"},"modified":"2020-06-03T08:04:08","modified_gmt":"2020-06-03T02:34:08","slug":"iust-to-promote-students-on-internal-assessment-basis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=26593","title":{"rendered":"IUST to promote students on internal assessment basis"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) has decided to promote students on basis of their performance in the internal assessments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decision to promote the odd semester students to even semester was taken in a meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor (VC) IUST, Prof Mushtaq Ahmad Sidique, with the faculty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decision was taken amid the continuous closure of educational institutions owing to COVID19 lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe process of conducting internal assessments for the current odd semester after completion of syllabus shall be completed in June,\u201d read the minutes of the meeting. \u201cThe methods of internal assessments may include Open Book Examination, Open Choices and assignment\/ presentation-based assessments.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The varsity has also decided that the class work for next semester shall be started after conduct of internal assessments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe practical courses of the odd semester or the courses which couldn\u2019t be completed online like some open electives shall be adjusted in the following semester and completed after the restrictions are eased and campus teaching is resumed,\u201d read the minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The varsity administration has asked the heads of the Departments (HoDs) to issue the schedule of the online classes for next semesters and resume the class work for even semester.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) has decided to promote students on basis of their performance in the internal assessments.
