{"id":26905,"date":"2020-06-07T07:56:52","date_gmt":"2020-06-07T02:26:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/we-must-be-prepared-to-live-with-the-virus-for-a-long-time\/"},"modified":"2020-06-07T07:56:52","modified_gmt":"2020-06-07T02:26:52","slug":"we-must-be-prepared-to-live-with-the-virus-for-a-long-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=26905","title":{"rendered":"\u2018We must be prepared to live with the virus for a long time\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/news\/international\/we-must-be-prepared-to-live-with-the-virus-for-a-long-time\/article31768387.ece\">AFP<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Hassan Rouhani warned Iranians on Saturday to prepare to live with the novel coronavirus \u201cfor a long time\u201d, as the country gradually rolls back restrictions imposed to curb the outbreak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People should not assume that \u201cthis disease will be eliminated in 15 days or a month: we must therefore follow the instructions for a long time,\u201d Mr. Rouhani said during a weekly meeting of the coronavirus taskforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe must end all gatherings, be it marriage, mourning, or family visits, until told otherwise by the Health Minister,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities have progressively lifted restrictions imposed to tackle the virus, and activity has almost returned to normal in most of the country\u2019s 31 provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rising trajectory of infection figures since a low in early May and the lack of observance of physical distancing measures have authorities worried.
