{"id":33195,"date":"2020-09-17T10:39:37","date_gmt":"2020-09-17T05:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/?p=33195"},"modified":"2020-09-17T10:39:37","modified_gmt":"2020-09-17T05:09:37","slug":"srinagar-encounter-three-militants-woman-killed-crpf-officer-injured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=33195","title":{"rendered":"Srinagar encounter: Three militants, woman killed, CRPF officer injured"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><strong>Firing stops, Search operation on in the area, say officials<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Srinagar<\/strong>: Three unidentifed militants and a woman were killed in an encounter between government forces and militants in Batamallo area of Srinagar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>A senior police official said three militants were killed in Battamallo encounter. &#8220;The firing has stopped and searches are under way in the area,&#8221; he told news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Official sources said that a woman aged 45-years, was also killed in the gunfight after she was caught in the cross fire while as a CRPF deputy commandant sustained injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>They identified the slain woman as Kousar Jan of Batamallo stating that she was taken to SMHS hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They further added that the injured deputy CRPF commandant was shifted to 92 base hospital while as identification of militants is being ascertained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, an official said that on specific inputs about the presence of militants, a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Batamloo during last night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter\u2014(KNO)<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Firing stops, Search operation on in the area, say officials Srinagar: Three unidentifed militants and a woman were killed in an encounter between government forces and militants in Batamallo area of Srinagar.
