{"id":33816,"date":"2020-10-01T16:02:43","date_gmt":"2020-10-01T10:32:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/?p=33816"},"modified":"2020-10-01T16:02:43","modified_gmt":"2020-10-01T10:32:43","slug":"bsf-si-shoots-self-in-jammu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=33816","title":{"rendered":"BSF SI shoots self in Jammu"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Jammu<\/strong>: A sub-inspector of the Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday allegedly shot himself with his service rifle in a camp here, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Sub-Inspector Chakerpani Prasad Tiwari (56), posted with 12th Battalion, shot himself in the head at Garoda border outpost in Gajansu area on the outskirts of Jammu, a police official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Tiwari, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, was rushed to sub-district hospital in Marh where he was declared brought dead by doctors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>According to police, it is a case of death by suicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police have started inquest proceedings into the incident, the official said, adding that the motive behind his taking such an extreme step was not known immediately.
