{"id":39155,"date":"2021-07-27T19:01:33","date_gmt":"2021-07-27T13:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/?p=39155"},"modified":"2021-07-27T19:01:33","modified_gmt":"2021-07-27T13:31:33","slug":"srinagar-kupwara-record-highest-july-temperature-in-8-years-respite-from-heat-wave-likely-from-tomorrow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=39155","title":{"rendered":"Srinagar, Kupwara record highest July temperature in 8 years; respite from heat wave likely from tomorrow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Srinagar, 27 July: The heat wave conditions remained unabated in parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, even as the summer capital recorded its hottest July day in 8 years at 34.6 degrees Celsius. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As per Kashmir Weather, an independent weather forecaster, Srinagar recorded its hottest July day since 2013 when the maximum temperature had reached 35.2 degrees Celsius. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The all-time highest July temperature is 38.3\u00b0C recorded on 10 July 1946. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Similarly, Kupwara also recorded its hottest July day since 2013 at 35.2\u00b0C. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>On 29 July 2013, mercury had reached at 35.8\u00b0C. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The ski-resort of Gulmarg, famous for its beauty and heavy snowfall during winters, recorded a maximum temperature of 25.0\u00b0C. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The other parts of the Valley also witnessed similar weather conditions. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Qazigund recorded 32.6\u00b0C, Pahalgam 29.6\u00b0C and Kokernag 31.7\u00b0C as the day&#8217;s highest temperatures. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Kashmir Weather has forecast a relief from present hot weather conditions from tomorrow with chances of rain and thundershowers at widespread places.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar, 27 July: The heat wave conditions remained unabated in parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, even as the summer capital recorded its hottest July day in 8 years at 34.6 degrees Celsius.
