{"id":4095,"date":"2014-06-25T16:04:42","date_gmt":"2014-06-25T16:04:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kashmir-today.net\/?p=4095"},"modified":"2014-06-25T16:04:42","modified_gmt":"2014-06-25T16:04:42","slug":"kashmir-situation-better-earlier-mos-defence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=4095","title":{"rendered":"Kashmir Situation better than earlier: MoS Defence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Srinagar:\u00a0<\/strong>Minister of State for Defence Rao Inderjit Singh has said that the situation in Kashmir is well under control and better than earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Army\u2019s Srinagar based defence spokesman in a statement issued to GNS said that the Minister of State for defence arrived at Srinagar on 23 June and visited Chinar Corps Headquarters on 24 Jun where he was given a detailed briefing on the security situation prevailing in the Valley.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn 25 June, the Minister paid a special visit to the Chinar Corps War Memorial.\u00a0 \u00a0A solemn ceremony was organized wherein the minister paid rich tributes to the martyrs who have laid their lives defending the Nation\u201d, the statement said, adding that \u201cSenior Army officers posted in the Badami Bagh Cantonment were present during the ceremony\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The visit of\u00a0the minister\u00a0assumes importance as it comes close to the recent visit of defence Minister to the Valley, the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen asked regarding the prevailing security situation in Valley,\u00a0Inderjit Singh conveyed that the situation is well under control and better than earlier.
