(The sedition case was taken back by UP police Thursday late evening).<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Hurriyat (G) Chairman had called upon students of Kashmir valley to protest against the Meerut university move.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Pertinently, 67 students were rusticated from Swami Vivekanand University Meerut for cheering Pakistani cricket team against a game with India.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">The students took out a rally from in campus Jamia Masjid and started chanting slogans in favour of Pakistan and \u2018freedom\u2019.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Students moved around the campus raising anti India slogans as well.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Meanwhile, students at valley\u2019s Government Medical College too held protests against the rustication of Kashmiri students.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">The students assembled in the park and chanted slogans against Meerut University move.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">The protesting students later dispersed peacefully.<\/span><o:p><\/o:p><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar: Scores of Kashmir University students held protests against the \u2018expulsion\u2019 of Kashmiri students from a Meerut University and filing of sedition case against them after Friday prayers.
