{"id":482,"date":"2014-03-03T16:40:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-03T16:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kashmir-today.net\/india-pak-cricket-match-3-army-men-among-5-held-for-stabbing-youth-in-gulmarg\/"},"modified":"2014-03-03T16:40:00","modified_gmt":"2014-03-03T16:40:00","slug":"india-pak-cricket-match-3-army-men-among-5-held-for-stabbing-youth-in-gulmarg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=482","title":{"rendered":"India-Pak cricket match: 3 Army men among 5 held for stabbing youth in Gulmarg"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div><b style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Srinagar:<\/b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\"> A youth was stabbed during a brawl by skiing instructors, who work for the army, after Pakistan narrowly beat arch rivals Indian in the ongoing Asian Cup being played in Bangladesh.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Police&nbsp;Monday&nbsp;arrested five persons, including three troopers, after a youth Muhammad Yousuf Reshi was stabbed inside a hotel in world-famous health resort, Gulmarg in north Kashmir\u2019s Varmul district.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">The incident took place when the troopers were watching the crunch game in Hotel Shahra.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Official sources said last evening scuffle broke out between army troopers and few civilians at Jawahar Lal Nehru Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">\u201cDuring the scuffle, one of the army troopers hit a youth with a sharp knife and injuring him seriously,\u201d sources added.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Sources said as locals celebrated Pakistan\u2019s victory; the troopers called Reshi in their room and beat him to pulp.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Reshi is a resident of Beerwah, Budgam and has been working as an instructor in the institute.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">He was immediately rushed to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Official sources identified the arrested three army men as Havaldar Jitender Singh, Niak Sonam and Niak Hajari Lal.
