{"id":48577,"date":"2021-10-06T09:06:19","date_gmt":"2021-10-06T03:36:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/masjid-al-haram-made-more-accessible-for-differently-abled-visitors\/"},"modified":"2021-10-06T09:06:19","modified_gmt":"2021-10-06T03:36:19","slug":"masjid-al-haram-made-more-accessible-for-differently-abled-visitors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=48577","title":{"rendered":"Masjid Al Haram Made More Accessible For Differently Abled Visitors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>MAKKAH \u2013 <\/em><\/strong><em>The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has taken a number of steps to improve accessibility to differently abled worshipers and pilgrims in Masjid Al Haram, Makkah.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Presidency introduced a number of services dedicated to improve the experience of the worshipers to make their pilgrimage and experience in the Mosque a smooth one.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The steps taken include:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Reservation of Certain Areas in Masjid Al Haram for differently abled worshipers where their needs could be catered specifically<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Areas will be equipped with special copies of the Quran, for people who require assistance in hearing or seeing.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Introduction of translating the weekly Jumu\u2019ah Khutbah in sign language for people requiring this service along with translation of Jumu\u2019ah Khutbah in different languages.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Special Wheelchair accessibility from the courtyards to first floor of the Mosque for performance of Tawaaf.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For people with hearing disabilities worldwide the Jumu\u2019ah Khutbah is translated into sign language on \u2018Quran Channel\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MAKKAH \u2013 The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has taken a number of steps to improve accessibility to differently abled worshipers and pilgrims in Masjid Al Haram, Makkah.
