{"id":49372,"date":"2021-12-13T21:49:49","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T16:19:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/weather-alert-severe-cold-conditions-expected-next-week\/"},"modified":"2021-12-13T21:49:49","modified_gmt":"2021-12-13T16:19:49","slug":"weather-alert-severe-cold-conditions-expected-next-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=49372","title":{"rendered":"Weather Alert: Severe Cold Conditions Expected Next Week"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mostly dry weather conditions are expected till 22 December, even as a weak Western Disturbance is passing over J&amp;K currently which may cause light rain\/snow at a few places(otherwise dry weather is expected).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By 16 December, minimum temperatures will again start to drop.<br \/>Between 17 and 19 December, severe cold wave conditions are expected in most parts of J&amp;K.<br \/>Below -5\u00b0C night temperatures are likely at most places in Kashmir.<br \/>Minimum temperature in Srinagar during this period can stay in between -5\u00b0C to -8\u00b0C, while in other plains like Shopian it can drop to -10\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3 &#8211; 4\u00b0C drop is also expected in day temperatures, despite expected sunny days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exception to this forecast could only occur if cloud cover persists during the night, however, chances of that are less than 10%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not only in J&amp;K, temperatures in Afghanistan, north and central Pakistan, north India plains (extending up-to central India parts) are also likely to witness a significant drop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After 22 December, it seems a chain of Western Disturbances will arrive in J&amp;K, however accuracy of which can&#8217;t be yet accurately predicted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>Regards: Kashmir Weather, an independent weather forecaster Faizan<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mostly dry weather conditions are expected till 22 December, even as a weak Western Disturbance is passing over J&amp;K currently which may cause light rain\/snow at a few places(otherwise dry weather is expected).
