{"id":49493,"date":"2021-12-23T21:28:51","date_gmt":"2021-12-23T15:58:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/govt-mulls-to-remove-deadwood-in-education-dept\/"},"modified":"2021-12-23T21:28:51","modified_gmt":"2021-12-23T15:58:51","slug":"govt-mulls-to-remove-deadwood-in-education-dept","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=49493","title":{"rendered":"Govt mulls to remove deadwood in Education Dept"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><strong>\u2018Seeks details of non-performing teaching, non-teaching employees, SED to submit list soon\u2019<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Srinagar, Dec 23: The government has asked the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) to furnish the list of its teaching and non-teaching employees that have turned to be the \u2018deadwood\u2019 for the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Principal Secretary of School Education Department, B K Singh in an official communiqu\u00e9 issued to the DSEK has said, &#8220;The Department of Education has huge number of employees and many of them are not performing their duties to the level of expectations and desired results leading to large drop out and lower outcomes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHow a department having around 1.10 Teacher Student Ratio have such a result,\u201d Singh questioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has leant that Singh has said that \u201cIt becomes inevitable to identify the non working or dead wood in both teaching and non teaching faculty who have either emptied the schools in enrollment by mostly resorting to private coaching or side business or have created corrupt and malicious work culture in offices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis has put the public at great inconvenience and has proven counterproductive to the growth of the department,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn this backdrop the DSEK is directed to prepare a list of such employees as per the norms and furnish the list to this office within the 15 days for onward transmission to general administration for necessary action otherwise serious action under rules will be taken,\u201d Singh said\u2014(KNO)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u2018Seeks details of non-performing teaching, non-teaching employees, SED to submit list soon\u2019 Srinagar, Dec 23: The government has asked the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) to furnish the list of its teaching and non-teaching employees that have turned to be the \u2018deadwood\u2019 for the department.
