While many offices and institutions were in work-from-home condition, restaurants were kept open for home delivery and take-away. And most of us preferred to resort to food apps like Zomato and Swiggy to order our favorite food items from nearby food joints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Guess what the most ordered foods were in 2021?! According to a report by Zomato, one of the most ordered food items was Momo. Zomato says that in 2021 more than 10 million momos were ordered through their app. This report was shared on Zomato\u2019s Instagram handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report informed that Mumbai\u2019s famous vada pav was ordered by almost 32 lakh people, while samosas received almost 73 lakh orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In another post, Zomato made a quirky comparison with the much popular Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif wedding. They stated, \u201cVicky & Katrina were 2021\u2019s second-most popular couple \u2013 The first being Paneer Butter Masala and Butter Naan. They were ordered together more than 1.1 million times!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But what remained invincible was biryani \u2013 the delicacy \u201conce again\u201d topped the list as \u201cIndia\u2019s top dish in 2021\u201d. \u201cWe delivered 2 biryanis every second,\u201d Zomato informed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The food-tech giant further shared that the biggest order (in India) in 2021 was placed by someone from Ahmedabad \u2013 it was food worth Rs.33k! That\u2019s not all. Another person named Sweta placed 12 ice cream orders in a \u201csingle day\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
