{"id":51800,"date":"2022-07-19T20:16:38","date_gmt":"2022-07-19T14:46:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/missing-srinagar-man-found-dead-after-15-days-family-alleges-murder\/"},"modified":"2022-07-19T20:16:38","modified_gmt":"2022-07-19T14:46:38","slug":"missing-srinagar-man-found-dead-after-15-days-family-alleges-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=51800","title":{"rendered":"Missing Srinagar man found dead after 15 days, family alleges murder"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em><strong>Police say investigation taken up, anyone involved will be dealt with as per law<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Srinagar:<\/em><\/strong> The family members of a Srinagar man, who was found dead 15 days after he went missing, Tuesday alleged that he was tortured and forced to take an extreme step by a person who had given debit to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An official told the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that body of Shameem Ali, who was missing since 15 days, was recovered today from river Jhelum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Ali&#8217;s wife, Rubeena told KNO that a person namely Aashiq Ahmad was torturing her husband since very long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She alleged that Ashiq was torturing her husband for the debit he had taken from him and their house was even locked by the person for not paying the money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She added that torture was so extreme that he couldn&#8217;t bear and thus was compelled to take an extreme step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy husband has paid more than half of the amount, he had got from Ashiq. My husband was being thrashed and tortured both mentally as well as physically,\u201d she alleged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lady also said she was surprised as how the person involved in such a heinous crime is roaming free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family members appealed to the police to probe the matter and the person involved in this act should be dealt with strictly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pertinently, Shameem and Rubeena got married just 11 months ago<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, a police official told KNO that they have taken up the investigation and whosoever is found involved will be dealt with strictly as per law\u2014(KNO)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police say investigation taken up, anyone involved will be dealt with as per law Srinagar: The family members of a Srinagar man, who was found dead 15 days after he went missing, Tuesday alleged that he was tortured and forced to take an extreme step by a person who had given debit to him.
