{"id":53602,"date":"2023-12-21T04:52:36","date_gmt":"2023-12-21T04:52:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmir.today\/on-mha-directive-nia-takes-kokernag-encounter-case\/"},"modified":"2023-12-21T04:52:36","modified_gmt":"2023-12-21T04:52:36","slug":"on-mha-directive-nia-takes-kokernag-encounter-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=53602","title":{"rendered":"On MHA directive, NIA takes Kokernag encounter case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_20_368\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><em><strong>Anantnag, Dec 20:<\/strong><\/em> The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the investigation of the Kokernag, Anantnag encounter case, on the directions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, sources revealed Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Sources told news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that following the Ministry of Home Affairs notification, the NIA took charge of the case and registered it with FIR number RC-04\/2023\/NIA\/JMU at the Jammu Police Station of the agency. \u201cThe agency will initiate a detailed investigation into the encounter case,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p>The Kokernag encounter that took place on September 13 this year claimed the lives of three senior officials from the Army and J&amp;K Police.
