{"id":5620,"date":"2016-10-04T19:49:09","date_gmt":"2016-10-04T14:19:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kashmir.today\/?p=5620"},"modified":"2016-10-04T19:49:09","modified_gmt":"2016-10-04T14:19:09","slug":"psa-govts-last-option-restore-peace-law-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=5620","title":{"rendered":"PSA Govt\u2019s last option to restore peace: Law Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><em><strong>\u2018Valley treading towards betterment in situation, people yearning for peace\u2019<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n<p><em><strong>Srinagar:<\/strong> <\/em>Minister for Law &amp; Justice Abdul Haq Khan on Tuesday said that the Public Service Act (PSA) is a last option available with the government to \u201crestore peace and tranquility\u201d in the restive Kashmir valley that has been reeling under unrest since past 88 days.<br \/>\nIn a statement to KNS, Haq Khan said that no government would desire to imprison its own people in jails but PSA could be seen as a \u2018last option\u2019 available with the government for restoration of law and order. He maintained further the PSA is slapped against only those people who were found hell-bent to vitiate atmosphere and remained on a forefront to cause trouble to Kashmir civilian population. He maintained that the state dispensation is striving hard to counsel those involved in the acts of violence. \u201cOur officers have been counseling the stone throwers and telling them not to indulge in violence. And we are witnessing that now everyone wants to cooperate with the government in its endeavour to restore tranquility,\u201d the minister said.<br \/>\nHe maintained further that there are people across Kashmir who want end to this chaos and uncertainty. \u201cThere is a huge chunk of unemployed youth. There are vendors who depend on their daily wages. There are students whose careers are at stake.
