{"id":68,"date":"2014-04-04T13:35:00","date_gmt":"2014-04-04T13:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kashmir-today.net\/newborn-baby-put-to-death\/"},"modified":"2014-04-04T13:35:00","modified_gmt":"2014-04-04T13:35:00","slug":"newborn-baby-put-to-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=68","title":{"rendered":"Newborn baby put to death"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div><b style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Srinagar: <\/b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">In a shocking incident of barbarism, unknown persons took the life of a newborn baby after immersing it into a bucket of water inside the public bathroom of a local hospital in Srinagar.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">SP city Norht Tahir Saleem told CNS that police found a new born baby immersed upside down into a bucket of water at a public bathroom in Jawharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital Rainawari.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">\u201cPreliminary investigation revealed that the baby has been put to death. We have registered a case vide FIR number 15\/2014 under section 317 RPC in this regard and investigation is going on,\u201d he said adding that few persons have been called to police station for questioning.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">He said that CCTV camera\u2019s may prove helpful for them and they have sought all the records from the hospital.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">The body of the newborn was handed over to Hospital authorities for burial and last rites.
