{"id":71,"date":"2014-04-04T09:38:00","date_gmt":"2014-04-04T09:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kashmir-today.net\/journalist-fraternity-remembers-izhar-wani\/"},"modified":"2014-04-04T09:38:00","modified_gmt":"2014-04-04T09:38:00","slug":"journalist-fraternity-remembers-izhar-wani","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=71","title":{"rendered":"Journalist fraternity remembers IZhar Wani"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<div><b style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Srinagar:<\/b><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\"> Journalist fraternity of Kashmir remembered its fearless member, Izhar Wani on his second death anniversary Friday.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/kashmir.watch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/2942_1043021362614_1438006504_30107405_8201062_n.jpg\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/kashmir.watch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/2942_1043021362614_1438006504_30107405_8201062_n.jpg\" height=\"300\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Izhar passed away on March 4, 2012 at the age of 43.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">The death of Izhar was a great loss not for his family only but for the Journalist fraternity of the state, particularly Kashmir because it lost one of its members known for his humility, courage and professional attitude.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Known for his reporting in turbulent times Izhar was a guest faculty to several institutions teaching journalism across the state.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">A thorough gentleman, Izhar started his career as a journalist in 1990. He later worked with many local dailies before joining AFP.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">While performing his professional obligations, Izhar would never compromise on professional ethics. Some of his stories on Kashmir conflict have won him international acclamation and he was hailed for his detailed reportage.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;\">Izhar is and will remain a source of inspiration for many youth to join journalism.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar: Journalist fraternity of Kashmir remembered its fearless member, Izhar Wani on his second death anniversary Friday.
