{"id":8934,"date":"2017-02-25T09:27:49","date_gmt":"2017-02-25T03:57:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kashmir.today\/?p=8934"},"modified":"2017-02-25T09:27:49","modified_gmt":"2017-02-25T03:57:49","slug":"farooq-abdullah-takes-up-for-militants-says-theyve-made-a-promise-with-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmir.watch\/?p=8934","title":{"rendered":"Farooq Abdullah takes up for militants, says they\u2019ve made a promise with God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Srinagar:\u00a0<\/strong>National Conference leader and three-time state Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah today came out openly in defence of militants, saying they have made a \u201cpromise with God\u201d and are sacrificing their lives for freedom.Farooq\u2019s rare pro-militant rhetoric, which came at a time when the levels of violence and sympathies for militants have significantly shot up, illustrated a stark change of heart for a political leader who had once advocated a full assault against militants and their backers.\u201cIf our children are offering sacrifices today, they do not want to become MLAs or MPs or minister.
